Public Relations Plan

Two Media Exposure Ideas
1. Flyer Distribution Across Campus
2. Social Media Promotion

Students often face extreme pressure in a fast-paced academic setting, which can negatively impact
their mental and physical health. It's important to provide chances that not only increase awareness but
also offer useful skills for stress management and general health improvement in order to meet this
expanding need. By offering engaging events and expert guidance, we can help students take the first
step toward prioritizing their well-being. Two creative projects that could have a big impact on how
students use wellness services and create a more encouraging campus culture are holding a wellness
fair on campus and asking a mental health specialist to give a public talk

The first idea is to create a wellness fair on campus, where students can get more information
about the campus health and wellness program. There will be a variety of wellness-related activities at
the fair, along with many resources for the students. The event would feature expert-led talks on
mental health, yoga demonstrations, and short workshops on stress management strategies. Students
will also have a chance to sign up for upcoming wellness workshops, Counseling, and fitness
activities. At the fair, we will have fun games like Spin the Wheel, where you can win prizes. There
will also be other games and activities to keep everyone entertained. This event could attract a lot of
students, especially if it takes place around a busy period on campus, like the start of the semester or
right before midterms, when students are more likely to feel anxious and in need of assistance.

"Providing engaging opportunities for students to prioritize their well-being is the first step toward building a supportive and healthier campus environment."

The second idea is to invite a local mental health expert or wellness advocate to lead a public
seminar or visit different classes to discuss the importance of mental well-being and stress
management. This idea would be valuable because hearing from an expert adds credibility to our
message, and it may encourage more people to engage, knowing we’re putting in the effort and
providing trustworthy information. The seminar would be a great opportunity to learn more about
mental health, its importance, and the resources available. It could also serve as a stepping stone for us
if it goes well, the program might attract additional publicity from local media outlets thanks to the
speaker's well-established reputation and media presence, we can host more events like this and invite
even more people.

Both the wellness fair and the seminar with a mental health expert offer significant opportunities to
improve student engagement with mental health resources. By providing accessible information,
interactive activities, and expert advice, these events can create a culture of openness and support on
campus. Whether through fun, interactive experiences or thought-provoking discussions, these ideas
will contribute to reducing the stereotype, normalizing conversations about mental health, and giving
students the tools they need to thrive academically and personally.
