Social Media Plan

First Social Media Platform Utilized

I chose TikTok as one of the primary platforms for marketing the Campus Health and Wellness Program because it is one of the most popular social media platforms among college students, who are the target audience for this initiative. In today’s digital age, TikTok has become a center for young people, offering endless opportunities to connect with them in a way that feels natural and engaging. The platform's unique ability to showcase creative, short-form video content makes it an ideal tool for promoting mental health and stress management resources in a fun and accessible manner. One of the biggest advantages of TikTok is how easy it is to gain engagement and grow an audience. The algorithm is designed to push relatable, entertaining, or educational content to viewers who are likely to be interested. Additionally, TikTok's ever-changing trends present a unique opportunity to make the program's content more appealing to students. By hopping on these trends and putting our own creative spin on them, This not only keeps the content fresh and relatable but also helps the program stand out in a crowded social media space.

In today’s digital world, platforms like TikTok is not just popular but is an highly effective tools for reaching and engaging with students.

Second Social Media Platform Utilized

Social media plays a crucial role in helping the Campus Health and Wellness Program achieve its goal of promoting mental well-being and stress management among IU Indianapolis students.

My second chosen marketing platform is Instagram, another highly popular and effective tool for reaching college students, the primary audience for the Campus Health and Wellness Program. Instagram has proven to be a reliable platform for sharing important information, updates, and visually engaging content. Its widespread use among young adults makes it an excellent choice for promoting mental health resources and stress management activities in a way that resonates with our target demographic. One of Instagram's most valuable features is Stories, which allows for quick, dynamic updates that disappear after 24 hours. This feature can be leveraged to share event reminders, wellness tips, polls, or behind-the-scenes content from program activities, creating a sense of immediacy and relevance.Another advantage of Instagram is its ability to connect Easily with TikTok, which can Increase the program’s engagement across both platforms. By linking our Instagram to our TikTok account, we can cross-promote content and direct followers from one platform to the other. Instagram's Explore page and hashtag functionality also provide an opportunity to reach a broader audience beyond our existing followers. This increases the likelihood of attracting new participants to the program.
