Financial Analysis Project Paper
This artifact is a financial analysis project completed for PBHL-H352: Health Finance and Budgeting. It examines the financial performance of Island Regional Medical Center using key ratios such as liquidity, profitability, activity, and capital structure to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. The project also includes strategic recommendations based on the hospital’s financial position.
What I learned
I learned how to analyze a healthcare organization’s financial performance using key ratios like liquidity, profitability, activity, and capital structure. I developed skills in interpreting financial data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and trends over time. I also learned how to connect financial results to real decisions, such as staffing, expenses, and expansion planning, and how to make recommendations to improve financial stability and efficiency.
